Someone once said that, “God doesn't call the equipped, He equips the called!” Well we have been called and we are trusting God to do the equipping! Since we made the decision to walk through doors that God had opened, we have been busy! Busy with praying, busy with getting our prayer cards printed, newsletter written, folding and stuffing envelopes, sealing and stamping. . . did I mention praying! It’s been a bit overwhelming, but we are thankful to have four boys who were eager to help. I’ve never imagined how much time this would take.
At this point, we have just begun our adventure. At times we are so excited we can’t wait! At other times we think we must be crazy. It’s overwhelming to think about how many things need to be done and purchased. We can only imagine what the prophets of old or the disciples must have felt when God called them to go. We don’t have a date set yet, but Lord willing, it will be sooner, rather than later. . . it’s in God’s hands and His timing.
A few weeks ago we had the opportunity to lead a great team of individuals to Haiti and share with them the work God has called us too. It was rewarding and refreshing to serve alongside of them. More details and pics of this trip to come. . .
